Literacy is vitally important in the progressive world in which we live. To be unable to read with ease, fluency and enjoyment presents a hurdle. I can provide a programme to help your child overcome this hurdle and become part of the world of books to explore, learn and understand all the treasures they contain.

Research has shown that students experiencing difficulties learning to read lack phonemic awareness, that is, a lack of knowledge of the sound system of the 44 sounds. My programme for Literacy intervention is phonic based (THRASS - see links under Resources) and applied in a structured and multi-sensory method. Each programme is designed to suit the learning needs of that particular child.

The one on one tutoring sessions are special to the children as they receive all the attention they need with plenty of positive reinforcement. Watch them grow in confidence as they master the important skills necessary for successful literacy.
